Champions elect Messingham 3rds continued their relentless march
toward the division one title with a six wicket victory at Alkborough
3rds.
The home side set a total of 137 thanks mainly to veteran Steve
Kirman who scored an excellent 81 not out.
Brumby took four for 28 for the visitors who reached their target
for the loss of just four wickets, Tom Johnson scoring 46 and skipper
Barnett hitting 40 not out including a big six to complete the game.
Cleethorpes 5ths appeared to be cruising to victory at Brumby Hall
when a thunder storm brought the game to a premature end. Paul Taylor
had led Frod to a score of 122 for nine having been well supported
from 64 for eight by Sarah Sundarum.
