Article: School's future 'not as bleak' The article entitled 'Bleak outlook for landmarks' (Scunthorpe Telegraph, July 25) helpfully highlights the concerns of English Heritage for historic properties in North Lincolnshire included on its Buildings at Risk register.

The article entitled 'Bleak outlook for landmarks' (Scunthorpe
Telegraph, July 25) helpfully highlights the concerns of English
Heritage for historic properties in North Lincolnshire included on
its Buildings at Risk register.
North Lincolnshire Council has also identified Queen Street
School, in Barton-Upon-Humber, as a building at risk, and is
supporting the Queen Street School Preservation Trust's restoration
project.
The future of Queen Street School is not as bleak as the report
might suggest. Although derelict for many years, many readers will
be aware of the regeneration scheme which will bring the school back
into community use, as a heritage visitor attraction and education ...
