A Verdict of accidental death was recorded on an elderly
pedestrian who was killed at an accident blackspot.
Joyce Walker (74), of Butterwick Road, Messingham, lost her life
attempting to cross North Moor Road, Messingham, at Catchwater
Crossroads.
The accident took place at about 3.45pm on December 29, when Mrs
Walker was walking home from the hairdressers.
She stepped off the path but, before she could make it to safety,
she was in collision with a Fiat Punto driven by Matthew Graham.
She was flung into the air and died of multiple injuries.
North Lincolnshire Coroner Stewart Atkinson pointed out a number
of witnesses said they had not seen her look before stepping into the
carriageway.
