A Father-of-two underwent a big test of faith at the weekend, as
he took on a biblical challenge to raise money for orphaned children.
Jeremy Jolley (50), of Betony Close, Scunthorpe, vowed to read the
Bible from cover to cover to raise money for a new school classroom
for children in Uganda.
The classroom, to be built in conjunction with the Watoto
Childcare Ministries, will become part of an existing school near the
capital Kampala, where many pupils are orphans affected by the Aids
epidemic and war.
Mr Jolley has spent the past three days and nights at St Andrew's
Church in Burton-Upon-Stather, reading out loud passages from Genesis
to Revelations.
