My piece last week about reader Mary Wilson's recollections of
life as a Naafi girl in the Second World War, and her plea for the
few survivors to be given some recognition for the part they played
in the war effort, has prompted another reader to speak up on behalf
of another forgotten organisation, the Women's Land Army.
"I was most interested to read about the lady asking why Naafi
