Swansea's landmark Grand Hotel is entering a new era, with new
owners and a refurbishment set to pitch it back into competition with
the city's best.
The 1930s city centre hotel, which underwent a pounds3 million
refurbishment in 2004, is getting a revamp and has reopened its 60-
capacity restaurant.
The main restaurant had been closed for three months.
Now Matt Hole, formerly of the Chelsea Cafe restaurant, has opened
Le Petit Mat on the first floor.
Mr Hole is a multi-award winning Swansea-born chef, who achieved a
top 50 place in the Dining Out in Wales approved top restaurants.
His success at the Chelsea Cafe also saw him achieve a listing in
the prestigious Time Out Best Place to Dine ...
