Article: Sara Lee says employees gave Ahold inaccurate info

Sara Lee Corp. said Monday that its second internal investigation of its dealings with Dutch grocery giant Royal Ahold NV found that three of its salespeople might have helped Ahold's U.S. Foodservice unit inflate revenue.

The Chicago-based company took away the workers' sales duties, but continues to employ them. Their fate will be decided when Sara Lee's investigation is complete, spokeswoman Julie Ketay said Monday. She could give no timetable.

The salespeople, without Sara Lee's authorization, confirmed to U.S. Foodservice's auditor, Deloitte & Touche, amounts of rebates and balances due from Sara Lee that were inaccurate and higher than what was owed, Sara Lee said.
