Some people will do anything for cheese - even hurl themselves off
a sheer hillside with the wild abandon of kamikaze lemmings.
Call them crazy or foolhardy. But nobody could accuse the cheese
rollers of Brockworth of being cowardly.
As is the custom in this part of Gloucestershire, dozens of
daredevils yesterday ran, tumbled and somersaulted their way down the
desperately steep slope of Cooper's Hill in pursuit of a 8lb Double
Gloucester cheese.
Jason Crowther from Pembrokeshire, west Wales, won the first race
to complete a hat-trick of victories over the past three years.
