A rumpus blew up this week over soaring stamp duty bills while
experts warned that the gap will widen between house prices and the
size of mortgage that people on average earnings can afford. Debbie
Rundle says that for West Country youngsters, the future has already
arrived
Pity the teenagers who have just been ploughing through their A-
levels to face a lifetime mired in debt.
They are likely to live with the noose of borrowing tied tightly
around the neck, strangling any hopes of enjoying the fruits of their
