Mel Gibson has spent much of the winter in Italy directing
"Passion," a film focusing on the last 12 hours of Christ's life. The
actor is so committed to authenticity that there's talk of releasing
it without subtitles for its Aramaic and Latin dialogue.
If Gibson wants an equally authentic soundtrack, he won't have to
look much further than "Ancient Echoes," a recently issued CD by the
Texas-based San Antonio Vocal Arts Ensemble. Like those recordings of
medieval Gregorian chant that transfixed millions a decade or so ago,
