"We never go in there." "We use it just for special occasions."
"Don't sit on the good sofa."
If any of those statements sound familiar regarding your living
room, perhaps it's time to re-examine how you make use of this
potentially vital and busy space in your home.
I believe that while the "formal" living room will still exist, a
more versatile and livable living room, (often called the great room,
gathering room or family room), is not just a trend anymore. It's the
way this space has evolved in homes of all types across the country.
