The White Sox tried out a new personality Tuesday before stumbling back into some old habits.

After showing all the makings of a rare laugher with an early barrage of doubles, the White Sox retreated and dropped a 7-4 decision to the Boston Red Sox.

The White Sox greeted Red Sox starter John Burkett with four consecutive doubles to start the game, scoring three runs in the process.
