bees, causing some of the insects to surge out and sting his legs.
Welts quickly popped up on Mucha's legs, but the stocky, 270-
pound electrician--who had been stung about 15 times--was more
irritated than alarmed by the stings.
Still, less than an hour after being stung at his Roselle home
Wednesday evening, Mucha slumped unconscious in his car. Although his
family quickly summoned paramedics, Mucha was pronounced dead an hour
later at a suburban hospital.
An autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner's office showed
that the 46-year-old Mucha, a father of two, died of multiple bee
stings that triggered anaphylaxis, or a ...
