Severn Vale school edged closer to a trip down Wembley Way when
they won the county girls Under-13s six-a-side football tournament
at Oxstalls.
There were 10 teams representing Gloucestershire schools at the
university campus, where a round-robin group took place on each of
the two pitches.
The winners from each group then met in the final with Severn
Vale securing victory over Barnwood Park A in a penalty shoot-out
(pictured).
The Quedgeley school are now into the regional final.
Victory at that stage would put the team through to the Football
League Community Cup final at Wembley, which will be played before
the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final in April.
