TICKET sales for Eurostar have soared by 20% since the high-
speed train service moved across town from Waterloo to St Pancras.
"It demonstrates that High Speed 1 [the new link through east
London and north Kent to the Channel Tunnel] is already a success,"
said Eurostar chief executive Richard Brown "With the new through
fares we are offering where passengers from the North can connect to
a Eurostar service, that puts us firmly on track to hit a target of
