When we think of New Year's Eve, two words come to mind:
'champagne" and "shame." Is it the same for some of our city's most
famous faces? We rounded up a few and asked them about their most
vivid New Year's Eve memories.
Bob Sirott, host of "Chicago Tonight" on WTTW-Channel 11:
"This wasn't my worst New Year's memory, but is memorable: During
the '70s, when I was still working in radio, I was occasionally doing
some things for Channel 2, and every year they'd have me do a segment
for their live New Year's Eve special. This was when I was still
single, and I made a comment -- what I thought was a very clever joke
-- referring to all the crowds and high prices on New Year's Eve. I
