NEW YORK -- Dusty Baker was minding his own business, leaning
against the low wall behind home plate at Yankee Stadium on Sunday
evening when a security guard ambled over, noticed Baker didn't have
proper credentials to be on the field and asked him to leave.
Another blow for the Cubs' manager.
"I would rather not be down here," Baker said after the security
guard left. "It hurts me standing here."
Baker also was stung by comments the day before from Florida
Marlins infielder Mike Mordecai, who said the Cubs lost their fire
after right-hander Josh Beckett shut them out in Game 5 of the
National League Championship Series.
