SCA Tissue North America said Thursday that it has approved $23
million in added investments at its Menasha paper mill.
That brings to $53 million in extra spending that the Sweden-
based company has committed to its Wisconsin operations since 2006.
"We're building on or protecting what is already a solid base for
us," said Ron Thiry, vice president of manufacturing for SCA Tissue
North America.
The latest investments are aimed at improving recycling
capabilities, through new technology and modified processes, in an
attempt to increase productivity and save on costs for energy and
raw materials.
