Easy games in the Big East Conference are rare, and so are 25-0
runs.
But the Marquette women's basketball team got both Saturday
afternoon in a conference-opening, 72-43 victory over visiting
Providence on Saturday.
"We were all excited about starting Big East play because we know
we're playing in the best conference in the nation," Marquette coach
Terri Mitchell said. "We had 13 games to learn a lot of things. What
we stressed is all that we've learned, it was time to put that out
on the court. Obviously, I didn't expect to win by the margin of
victory we did.
"At the end of the day, all I care about is how hard we played.
Whether it's a 2-point or 30-point game, it's how hard you play and ...
