Article: No longer hurt by Curt; Hamden's Natale looks toward future with Sox, not past

About a year ago, Jeff Natale was best known as the guy who took a Curt Schilling fastball off the top of his head.

Now, Natale is known as the reigning Red Sox Minor League Offensive Player of the Year. And the 24-year-old Hamden resident is looking to add to those credentials as he begins his second full spring training in the Red Sox organization.

"I don't want to be known," he quipped, "as the kid who got beaned by Curt Schilling."

Natale began participating in a minor league mini-camp earlier this week at Boston's spring training complex in Fort Myers, Fla. He and a group of other Red Sox prospects will work out for the next couple of weeks until minor league spring training ...
