Article: Career 'Development' leads De Rossi to sitcom

Portia de Rossi, one of the stars of Fox's new sitcom "Arrested Development," wasn't kidding when she played the competitive blond barrister on "Ally McBeal."

De Rossi had actually studied law in her native Melbourne, Australia. But jurisprudence left something to be desired.

She was 20 and already entrenched in law school when she made the small independent film "Sirens."
