South Devon estate agents are not forecasting a housing market
collapse, but say that vendors - and their agents - should be
realistic and 'sensible' if they want to move on.
Newton Abbot estate agent Richard Copus, spokesman for the Devon
branch of the National Association of Estate Agents said that many
homeowners are beginning to wonder exactly what the New Year will
bring.
And despite the glum predictions of many market pundits, Mr Copus
was more upbeat. "There is nothing for people to worry about as long
as they are sensible.
"Interest rates are now on a downward trend and the initial panic
engendered by the collapse of the sub-prime market in the United
