The pannier market has always been renowned for its reasonable prices, but Alan Boston has found that locals are also willing to pay more for good quality too.

His range caters for every budget and includes everything from about 50 cheaper bottles of wine promoted by big advertising budgets, to top of the range Dom Perignon champagne at pounds90 a bottle.

But demand for something different even means organic wines are doing a good trade.
