Article: St pancras proves to be record base for eurostar

The chief executive of Eurostar, who lives in Derby, is celebrating record passenger numbers and revenues for the high- speed train service.

In November, Eurostar began operating out of London St Pancras instead of Waterloo station.

The move meant that its services to the continent were connected to seven UK mainline rail services, including those run by East Midlands Trains, which operates most of Derby's services.
