Guangdong beat Shanghai to win CBA regular season

BEIJING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Guangdong Hongyuan reigned the regular-season No.1 placing by beating Shanghai Sharks 102-73 on the road on Friday in the Chinese Baketball Association league (CBA).

Xinjiang Guanghui had to accept the second-placing though it collected the same 56 points with a 26-4 record as the leader after beating Yunnan Honghe 120-108. It lost twice to Guangdong this season.

Tang Zhengdong had 47 points and 13 rebounds to secure Jiangsu Dragons third placing, defeating Dongguan Marco Polo 127-124.
