FORMER Home Secretary David Blunkett was guest of honour at the
launch of a national telephone legal advice service run by a
partnership in Sheffield.
Community Legal Advice is a free service run by Howells
solicitors alongside A4e, a firm that has already worked on several
projects on behalf of the Government.
The service is being provided on behalf of the Legal Services
Commission and offers impartial legal advice on issues including
employment, debt, housing and benefits.
During his visit to Peel House, in West Bar, Sheffield, where the
operators are based, Brightside MP Mr Blunkett met several advisers
who were taking calls from the public.
