A Ward at Hull Royal Infirmary that had been closed as part of
measures to contain norovirus has been allowed to reopen after a
deep clean.
Ward 36 was reopened yesterday, although several wards at
hospitals in East Yorkshire today remain closed as an outbreak of
diarrhoea and vomiting continues.
A total of seven wards have now shut.
Wards 37 and 80 at Hull Royal Infirmary were closed yesterday.
There were five patients affected on ward 80 and one staff member
affected on ward 37, which resulted in it being closed for 48 hours
for review.
Also still closed are wards 12 and 16 at Hull Royal Infirmary and
wards 22 and one at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham.
