A city secondary school has been given a glowing Ofsted report.
Staff at Oldfield School are delighted with the results of the
inspection - but say they are far from complacent.
Under recently-introduced procedures to ease the inspection
burden on schools, the Ofsted team visited for just one day.
The 945-pupil school in Kelston Road has already been designated
a high-performing specialist school.
The visit in November saw inspector Andrew Harrett awarding the
school outstanding or good grades in all five key inspection areas,
which vary from overall effectiveness of the school to achievement
and standards and quality of provision.
