A Brave woman who gave the gift of life by donating bone marrow
to help save a woman in Sweden last year has now donated blood to
the same woman.
Alison Carter (29), of Rivelin Crescent, Scunthorpe, developed
her bond with the woman after receiving a phone call informing her
she was a potential bone marrow match.
And now she has further strengthened the mercy link by donating
white blood cells after the transplant met with complications.
Alison, who has been donating blood for 10 years, said she was
glad to help complete the process.
"I got a phone call asking if I would be willing to go along to
donate the blood to the same patient because the bone marrow had not
taken as a complete graft," ...
