SAN DIEGO -- First they blew a 10-point halftime lead. Then they came back from a 9-point deficit in the final five minutes to force overtime.

In the end, however the Utah Utes couldn't pull out a victory, losing a 64-56 overtime battle to San Diego State Wednesday night at Cox Arena.

Free throw shooting ended up killing the Utes, who had come into the game ranked No. 10 in the nation at 76.0 percent. However, the Utes could only manage 4 of 9 on the night and missed the front ends of two key 1-and-1s near the end of regulation and in overtime that could have made a difference.
