A few sleepers wake up the toy industry this holiday season. Along
with the usual suspects for boys -- motorized toys, action figures,
gadgets and video games -- you will find classic toys, learning games
and yes, foodmakers.
Branded toys such as Tonka, Hot Wheels, Tyco, Transformers and
Matchbox continue to be big sellers. Sports and action video games
continue to sell out before every kid on the block has a chance to
purchase them.
But construction and building toys, including Mega Bloks, K'Nex
and the old Lincoln Logs, are making big strides. Learning Resources
