BALDWIN PARK - Divers searched a water-filled gravel pit near the
605 freeway after the car belonging to a missing former Pasadena
police lieutenant was found nearby over the weekend, authorities
said.
David Henry Richter's gray Lexus RX 350 was found parked in an
industrial park off Rivergrade Road, within walking distance of
mining company Vulcan Materials' gravel pit area, authorities said.
Richter, 55, of Arcadia was last seen by a friend Dec. 21. He was
reported missing by his father several days later, officials said.
Arcadia police Lt. Ron Buckholtz said investigators have had no
leads in their search until the car was found Friday night.
