The Greater New Orleans chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association installed Katy Casbarian of Arnaud's Restaurant as 2008 chapter president during a Thursday banquet at the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street.

The LRA also named Melvin Rodrigue of Commander's Palace the 2007 Restaurateur of the Year.

Chef Paul Prudhomme of K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blends were inducted into LRA's hall of fame.

Helen LeBourgeois of TLC Linen Services received the chapter's presidential award.
