WASHINGTON - The Bangor Fire Department will be awarded $450,000
from the Department of Homeland Security, Sens. Susan Collins and
Olympia Snowe announced Wednesday.
The grant funding was part of $649,169 awarded to four Maine fire
departments through the "Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program,"
or FIRE Act.
The grant to the Bangor Fire Department was funded through the
Vehicle Acquisition Program, which helps local departments purchase
equipment such as pumpers, brush ...
