Article: Bangor gets $450,000 for Fire Department

WASHINGTON - The Bangor Fire Department will be awarded $450,000 from the Department of Homeland Security, Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe announced Wednesday.

The grant funding was part of $649,169 awarded to four Maine fire departments through the "Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program," or FIRE Act.
