Oooh, anger feels so good. If it is so bad, why does it feel so
great?
I guess the first argument people will have is with the notion
that anger is bad. Can it be bad if gods get mad? They will point to
biblical references to God's wrath or to New Testament stories of
temple cleansing. Divine anger in Hebraic history wiped out a lot of
people. It included the first born of Egypt to whole worlds drowned
in floods. Non-Christian peoples also speak about their gods' rage
and the resulting natural or personal catastrophes. Earthquakes,
plagues or droughts all seem to be a result of anger. So the
justification goes if it is good enough for God, it is good enough
for me.
