President Gordon B. Hinckley, the 15th president of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, used a variety of means to share
his messages, including the written word.
The most recent book, "One Bright Shining Hope" (2006, Deseret
Book), features the prophet's counsel for women.
"When you save a girl, you save generations," President Hinckley
said. "I see this as the bright shining hope in a world that is
marching toward moral self-destruction."
Deseret Book also has published two volumes of discourses. Volume
1 comprises President Hinckley's talks from 1995-99, many of which
