Mardi Gras will be celebrated Friday, Saturday and Tuesday at
Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial St., North Side, with Dixieland jazz and
Cajun cuisine. The menu includes Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Gumbo,
Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Remoulade, Crabmeat Ravioli and,
for dessert, Whiskey Balls.
Live entertainment will be from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday and
Tuesday and 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The Tuesday event -- to
which participants are encouraged to come in costumes and
traditional beads -- is limited those 21 and older.
Executive chef Frank Muraca also is offering a gourmet beer
dinner for Valentine's Day. Six courses and five Penn Brewery beers
