Article: Briefs: Penn Brewery's Mardi Gras features Cajun food

Mardi Gras will be celebrated Friday, Saturday and Tuesday at Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial St., North Side, with Dixieland jazz and Cajun cuisine. The menu includes Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Gumbo, Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Remoulade, Crabmeat Ravioli and, for dessert, Whiskey Balls.

Live entertainment will be from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday and Tuesday and 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The Tuesday event -- to which participants are encouraged to come in costumes and traditional beads -- is limited those 21 and older.

Executive chef Frank Muraca also is offering a gourmet beer dinner for Valentine's Day. Six courses and five Penn Brewery beers
