Bucs end regular season strong

Xenia High School ended the girls basketball regular season on a high note Monday night with a 68-50 win against Springfield South.

It was the Buccaneers' third straight win and 10th in the last 12 games for a 15-5 overall record. Sophomore Jessica Alexander led the way with 23 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. Chelcie Gullett had 13 points and Cassie Whitley 10.

Lehman Catholic 73, Jackson Center 38: Sarah Freytag scored 19 points to become the girls career scoring leader at Lehman with 1,330 points. The previous mark was 1,329 points by 1998 graduate Stephanie Miller.
