Picture this: A trendy storefront restaurant in Greenwich
Village. Men and women in business suits. The line is out the door -
far too many people vying for the 20 seats in the small specialty
shop.
Count comedian Jerry Seinfeld among the regulars, along with lots
of students, plenty of business executives and a growing number of
tourists in New York.
And they're all there to get peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Variations on the theme, of course. Flavors. Fluffs. Confections
and concoctions. But at the heart of almost every order is peanut
butter.
