The Connecticut Crush have a lot in common with all professional
football teams. They go through tryouts, months of rigorous
preseason practices, and tough team lifting sessions.
They spend many hours each week working on punts, blocks, and
tackles. They play because they love the game, and they play every
game to win.
They take their sport seriously and have pride in themselves and
their team. They are tough enough to post the statement on their
team Web site that they "are not afraid of physical pain".
They are the real deal and some of them have been dreaming of
playing at the professional level since they were little girls.
Wait, little girls?
