Arts Council offers commissions for public art throughout N.O.

In collaboration with the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the Arts
Council will commission 10 new public art pieces to be installed
throughout the city.
Artists from Louisiana and Mississippi who were affected by
Katrina or Rita are eligible to apply through a Call to Artists
which is available online at www.artscouncilofneworleans.org.
Artists will compete through a juried review for 10 $25,000
commissions.
The commissions provide the opportunity for local and regional
artists to showcase their work parallel to the international
exhibits: Sculpture for New Orleans and Prospect One International
Biennial. Projects will be accepted provided they are durable, meet
safety regulations and can be ...
