The Clarke House Museum is undergoing a major renovation, but it
won't stop Easter festivities.
The museum and the nearby Glessner House Museum in the Prairie
Avenue Historic District will host an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt
for children 12 and under on April 10 (the day before Easter).
Children will search for plastic eggs that hold small toys inside.
The festivities also will include a baby animal zoo, a raffle and
light refreshments. A special area will be set aside for toddlers.
The Easter bunny will visit, too.
Hours are noon to 2 p.m. The event will be in the Chicago Women's
Park and Gardens, (next to Clarke House). Admission is $10 per child,
with family rates available.
