HIV infection rate stays high in Finland

HELSINKI, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- HIV infection rate in Finland hasremained at a high level with more than 190 persons infected by the deadly virus each year since 2006, said the Finnish National Public Health Institute on Monday.

The number of HIV infection from sexual contact grew by about 33 percent since 2006 and HIV infections among gay men have increased rapidly in Finland, experts from the institute told local media.
