After seven years in Derby, Stockbridge's cheesecake company has
moved to 509 Howe Ave. and opened a cafe with indoor and outdoor
seating.
Previously, the store offered no seating, just takeout and
telephone orders. It was formerly called Stockbridge's Gourmet
Cheesecakes & Delectables LLC.
The new space has 3,000 square feet of space, compared with 900
square feet at the Derby store, which opened in 2000.
"We're just so proud of the whole ambiance," said Brian
Stockbridge of Monroe, who owns the company with his wife, Lisa.
The couple moved because the store outgrew its space, said
Stockbridge, who attended the Culinary Institute of America and
oversees the recipes of all of the company's ...
