DAYTON -- After watching Duquesne top 100 points in its previous
two games, University of Dayton men's basketball coach Brian Gregory
gave his players instructions every grade-school teacher barks out
during fire drills: walk, don't run.
And the Flyers did manage to turn the game into a battle of half-
court offenses Wednesday night, Feb. 13.
"Unfortunately, the game plan also included taking care of the
ball and controlling the defensive glass," Gregory said, "and we
didn't do a good enough job in those cases.
Or, for that matter, at the freethrow line.
The Flyers committed a homely 17 turnovers, gave up oodles of
offensive rebounds and made just 6-of-17 foul shots in dropping a 63-
