Grimsby Hockey Club enjoyed two convincing wins in a double-
header weekend against Bradford.
Grimsby stayed top of the league with 4-1 and 8-2 victories.
Due to family commitments, two much-changed sides played at home
on the Saturday and then away the following day.
Sam Tasker and Luke Green were drafted in for their first games
of the season to provide rolling substitutes on the Saturday.
Grimsby started poorly at home, with the visitors taking the lead
after 15 minutes.
With only John Gibbons up front and an injured Andy Lockwood
umpiring rather than playing, Grimsby packed the centre of midfield
with three players, which did not allow space for Tom Bromley and
Dicky Johnson to play ...
