Joseph I. Lieberman is the senior US Senator from Connecticut,
and a regular attendee of the Munich Conference on Security Policy.
Senator Lieberman presented his views regarding the international
community's posture toward Iran's nuclear program on February 9th,
2008, during the 44th Munich Conference on Security Policy. We
face a daunting set of arms control challenges throughout the world
today. But in my remarks this afternoon, I would like to focus on a
particular threat: the nuclear ambitions of the Islamic Republic of
