Dr. Horst Teltschik was national security advisor to the German
government during the administration of Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
Since 1997, he served as organizer and host of the Munich Conference
on Security Policy, an informal annual forum for world leaders and
decisionmakers.?This interview with Dr. Teltschik was conducted by
Ernst Hebeker ahead of the 44th Munich Conference on Security
Policy, which was held February 8-10, 2008.
