It seems like another era, but it was only three years ago that
the talk of women's golf was the budding rivalry between Annika
Sorenstam and Karrie Webb.
Sorenstam's otherworldly last three seasons, combined with a dip
in form by Webb over the last year and a half, had caused the
talented Aussie to become an afterthought. The once-thriving rivalry
could get a jolt of adrenaline, however, in the final round of the
Kellogg-Keebler Classic.
On a tough day for favorites in the sports world, Sorenstam kept
alive her chances for a triple crown -- her third straight KKC title -
- with a solid second round of 6-under-par 66 on Saturday at
Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora.
