February winds to a close with a modest slate of auctions,
including a Monday afternoon sale.
Constantine & Mayer Inc.
"What we found is that people at out Monday sales are
professional buyers and sellers," says Dan Pletcher, co-owner of
Constantine & Mayer, where a sale is planned for noon Feb. 25.
"They're here to buy things to re-sell on eBay or at swap meets and
flea markets. This is their job."
While you might not find the typical bidder in the crowd of this
matinee sale, the goods on the block differ a bit from the usual
Constantine & Mayer sale.
"This is a good collectibles auction of second-tier merchandise
that didn't fit into our higher-end sales," says Pletcher. "In a lot
